Hey Everyone,
If it has been a while since you came here read the post below first.
Neyir and I are off to Normandy today. I am being a bit of a romantic about this trip as I like to think we are going to storm the Beaches. Alas, Neyir won’t be doing much storming as she is continually getting more pregnant. I am going to do my best though to capture the experience. We are meeting up with Neyir’s parents in Rouen and then we are all off for a road trip through Normandy. I am very excited about this trip because Neyir’s Dad is a bit of a WWII buff and he is going to take me around all the major WWII sites. I am also looking forward to eating cheese, drinking wine and a meal of moules et frites.
Again, I wish i knew french really well so I could go to France and speak it really badly. Alas.

We have recently found out that a dear friend of ours, Paula, has died in a car accident. We thank God that their 10 month old boy was spared with only minor injuries.
Paula was one of those people who was always full of life. She was full of God Grace and will be missed terribly. Nothing I could write on this blog would describe her properly.
I liked to think that I was always able to make her smile when she was feeling down. It usually involved me revealing my backside to her and a large tub of chocolate ice cream.
Please pray for Darren, her husband, and thier little boy Micah. May God give them strength and guidance in this tragic time. I also pray that Micah will learn about the incredible person his mother was.
Sigh

Because you see we are moving tommorrow, or are we? Our new flat has mould - that’s right millions of little spores spawning friends and family in our build-in main bedroom and 2nd bedroom closets. Was this a shock? Had we already given the management company over £1000? More importantly did the company know about the mould when we signed our lease and they took our money? Why yes, now that you ask, it was, we had and they did. Before I realised the full extent of the mould I called the company and they informed me that they already had a contractor coming to look at the mould - of course neither of us knew about the undiscovered patch in the 2nd bedroom - ah to be an explorer and come upon a new teritorry of creatures!
We are going to go ahead and move in our things tommorrow and will be in ‘constant’ contact with said management company about the mould and will not move in until it is habitable. I am hoping that because of the distracting nature of the mould the company simply did not notice the other glaring maintenance issues that will also have to be rectified - they are a very well respected company so hopefully this is not representative of how they conduct business. I am praying this will not become a battle but rather an uncomfortable but easily (as much as is possible) solved situation.
We will keep you posted, though I don’t know how as we don’t really know where we will be ;-). I have faith that it will all turn out! (Youthful optimism? Denial? Idiocy?…..)

Some one said to me yesterday:
“Do you know what your problem is David? It is that you only believe in Black and White”
My response to this person was that they were mistaken. I don’t believe in Black and White, I believe in Right and Wrong.
This really got me thinking about the use of that phase and how it can be used to trivialise stances on important issues. The funny thing is, this person was taking a black and white stance by saying that I only believe in Black and White. Sheesh. Should Alanis Morissette have used that situation in her song? It must be more Ironic than anything she sang about.
Anyways,
To add a little bit of baby bites into this post, here is a picture of baby from the outside. You have all seen pictures of baby inside of Neyir, so here is the effect the wee one is having on Neyir. Mmmmm can you say…. Yummy Mummy?
